At Boones Creek Animal Hospital, we strive to prevent illness whenever possible. The time and effort invested in our treatment plans has rewards for both pets and owners. These plans are designed specifically for your pet and include a comprehensive physical exam, intestinal parasite testing, heartworm and flea control, vaccinations, spay and neuter procedures, and specialized blood tests for all stages of life.
For animals younger than six years old, we suggest an exam annually. These exams include a physical exam, intestinal parasite screening, a heartworm test, and vaccines appropriate for your pet’s lifestyle and environment. We will also address issues such as the need for flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.
When animals are older than six years old, we suggest having blood work done annually to look for things like kidney problems. Common problems such as these, if caught early, can be remedied or helped with medications or treatment.
